On April 16, 2018 at 9:00 AM, Azusa police officers were sent to Veteran's Freedom Park, located in the 200 block E. Foothill Bl., regarding a male individual armed with a knife. Officers arrived moments later and learned an altercation between two male individuals had occurred with one of them having sustained a stab wound to his leg.

The male adult victim was medically treated at the scene before being transported to a local hospital for further treatment on non- life threatening injuries.

Peter Salcido, age 40, of Whittier, CA. was arrested for Assault with a Deadly Weapon and is currently being held at the Azusa Police Department Jail. His bail has been set at $50,000.
