Azusa Police Investigating Shooting of a Juvenile

On August 21st, 2015 at about 10:50 PM, Azusa Police Officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 800 Block of West Sixth Street in Azusa. Upon arrival, they found a 17 year old male who was suffering from several gunshot wounds to his upper torso. The initial investigation revealed that the juvenile was standing on the sidewalk when a vehicle stopped near him and a passenger exited. The passenger walked within close range of the juvenile and opened fire with a handgun. The victim collapsed on the sidewalk and was treated by Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel before being transported to a local hospital. He is currently in serious condition.
