WEATHER_ALERT

Azusa residents living near the burn areas along the foothills are advised to remain vigilant during the rain event this week. The Azusa Police Department asks all residents in these areas to report any excessive water flow or debris flow as a result of the rain. Azusa Police Officers are conducting routine checks in burn areas for unusual debris flow. Rain is expected from Wednesday to Thursday with the possibility of debris flows in recent burn areas. No evacuation orders have been issued at this point. Officials from the City of Azusa Office of Emergency Services are consistently monitoring National Weather Service updates. The Azusa Police Department along with our allied agencies at the Local, County, State, and Federal level are prepared to respond during dangerous weather conditions. Residents are encouraged to follow National Weather Service updates at www.weather.gov/losangeles. Please do not hesitate to report excessive water or debris flow to the Azusa Police Department at (626) 812-3200.
